Thinking ahead: Duly Authorised Officers - minding the future
9am - 4pm, Wednesday, 1 April 2009
The Duly Authorised Officers forum was presented in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Te Ao Maramatanga - the New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses.
This forum provided an opportunity for Duly Authorised Officers (DAOs) from around New Zealand to come together and discuss some of the current issues and future needs of this key national role. Discussion on the review of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment & Treatment) Act 1992 (MH Act) was a main focus of the day. Participants also discussed some of the workforce development issues facing DAOs.
