4U Forums 2007

Te Pou held a series of engagement forums throughout New Zealand during February and March 2007. These had a "pop in and chat with us" format.

At that time, Te Pou had two large programmes of work - Workforce Development and MH-SMART (which is now the Hamilton-based Information programme) - that were well under way.

These programmes had a number of exciting and innovative developments and we talked to you about, and got your thoughts on, the current direction and future potential for Te Pou.

It's all about making services better, and the feedback you supplied to us at these forums assisted us in doing this.

During the 2007 4U Forums, the Te Pou Research programme was in its fledging stages, awaiting influence from the Ministry of Health Research Plan and consultation with the research community. Since then the programme has flourished, a National Manager has been appointed and the team has formed.  In the next round of 4U Forums, there will be more opportunties to provide feedback on the work they are undertaking, and to give us your ideas on how the programme can provide research and development that  improves services and enables individual and organisational learning.
